Fit to work

I was very grateful when I got this "fit to work" stamp yesterday after my medical examination last Monday, Feb 15.

This means that I am fit to work in Kazakhstan. After going into different medical exam such as blood tests(HIV& Hepatitis), stool and urine test, Ishihara/optical test, ecg, audiotest, mantox, x-ray, dental and Psycho test. Well this was not my first time to have such kind of medical exam. It was more than two years ago when i had my last and that was when I'm going to work in Vietnam. I'm not getting any younger and everytime I have to undergo medical examinations I'm having  goose bumps. I hate seeing syringe and piercing it into my skin. Ouch!!!

But it's always a great relief everytime I passed those examinations. It means that still very much healthy. Strong as a cow!

Now I'll just be waiting for my flight ticket bound to Kazakhstan. ..a new place to work, a new adventure, a new wonderful experience to be. oh I'm so very excited already!

Leaving Vietnam

It's almost a month now when I finished (October 30, 2009) my job in Vietnam. Vietnam is my fisrt country I work with outside the Philippines and my first oversea's job. And it so happened that the project there is the construction of Vietnam's first oil & gas refinery.

Vietnam will always be in my heart.

Mom's dream came true

If you only knew my Mom's life you would probably say it's a great story for a movie. The hardship that she'd been thru had made her a strong person. Now she is the happiest person in the world. For 62 years she dreamed of seeing her father. On the 15th Sep 2008, at last the moment of truth had came to her...that's the day she, with the tears of joy in her eyes, kissed and embraced her father.

Blood links

There is nothing more precious than to get in touch with the people that you never know and see for a very long time and knowing they are there -existing gives you a marvelous feeling of joy.

I'm talking about my aunties, Auntie Willa, Auntie Bobbye and Auntie Angela who are now my pals in email. Receiving messages of Hello, love and best wishes from them gave me a misty eyes.

"Peace and Blessings Vic!

Just wanted to let you know that I am enjoying your blogspot/webpage. I explore it a couple of times a week. Thank you for the pictures. I can't wait to meet my sister and I am praying that one day we will all be able to get together and enjoy the company of loving family. I shared your blog with Franco. He enjoyed it too. He says his wife is from Cebu and will be going there in June. He is not going this time. He changed his mind because of his work here at the college. He says if he were going he would make it his business to meet with you. My brother (your Uncle Ronnie) is getting married (AGAIN!! Never give up on love!) next Friday, so the family will be getting together for the wedding and reception. It will be exciting and fun to see them because we don't always have time for all of us to get together. You have a WHOLE LOT OF FAMILY, Vic. Distance cannot impact the love that is being sent to all of you with every thought and heartbeat. ALL OF YOU ARE LOVED, WELCOMED AND INCLUDED!! I am so proud of you and I want to know my sister so bad it aches! Take care of yourself and the family!

When God made you, it was love at first sight!

Bright Moments!
Tiya Willa

"Hello Niece and Nephews, I am your Aunt Angela. I'm 54 years old (just a little younger than your mom, I think) and I'm a mainframe programmer for the Internal Revenue Service, a government agency here. God has blessed me with one son (James), a future daughter-in-law (Karen) and two grandchildren (Ryan 11 and Adrian 10). Pictures of us are attached. Please share them with your mom and give her a hug from me.

Today, the last Monday in May, is a national holiday - Memorial Day. Many offices are closed today so that we can remember and celebrate the lives of our deceased loved ones. On this day, there are also many events to honor men and women who sacrificed their lives, in the military, protecting our country.

I hope this message finds you, and all the family, well. It is exciting to be able to communicate with you; and it is a wondrous gift that after these many years our sister Ruth will come to America to meet us.

This was just a note to say hello so I'll end here, but I'll be thinking of you and I will write again.

Love,
Aunt Angela

They are my mother's step sisters to her father who she havent seen yet since she was born. It took 50 long years before she had communication with her father. Because of Robert, my Australian brother-in-law who made it a project to trace our Grandfather. If not by him we might had lost our hope to at least communicate with Grandpop already.

I'm happy now for my Mother because she will soon gets her most ambitious dream of seeing and embracing her father. She's will not just see her father but also her step brother and sisters who are excited to meet her too.

God is GOOD!!!

This I Believe

Seeds of Greatness by Denis Waitley
(This excerpt was taken from Denis Waitley's The Seeds of Greatness Treasury)

This I Believe

I believe in myself.

I believe that all people have the equal right to become all they are willing and able to become.

I believe that I am a good as anyone in the world. Although I may never be on the cover of Time or People magazine – I still have time to be one of the people who makes a really positive difference in the world.

I believe that although I may not be the best looking in the group, I'll always be looking my best in every group!

I believe in this and the next generation, and believe we'll build a better nation.

I believe that good health means more than wealth.

I believe in caring and sharing, rather than comparing.

I believe of all the people I see, still I'd rather be me!
